Yes, we are called the English Baroque Choir, but like most other choirs our name does not dictate what we do. We do perform baroque repertoire and we do so very well, but we approach a wide range of other repertoire and even commission new works.
So, are you a confident singer and a good sight-reader? Would you like to sing a wide range of repertoire including, of course, baroque, in some of the nicest venues in London and further afield? We are a friendly group brought together by the enjoyment of great music that strives for music making of a high standard and we should be delighted to hear from you.
See below for what is coming up. There are occasional opportunities for smaller ensembles or solo work with the choir too.
We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6.45pm to 9.30pm at St Stephen’s Church, Rochester Row, Westminster.
You are welcome to arrange to attend a trial rehearsal before a formal but friendly audition.
Our new member information page gives more details for new and prospective members including costs and how we manage the choir.
